What is branding?

A brand is a name, term, sign, symbol, logo or combination of all of these that represents the maker of

the products.



Branding adds values to the consumption of customers. A strong brand has a very high

recall value.


Dettol came in the market as an antiseptic but, at present times the word dettol has become

synonymous with antiseptic, thanks to its high level branding and high recall value that it has created in the market.


In today’s times, branding has become a very important process as more and more customers have become knowledgeable so much so, that unbranded products hardly have any takers.


All in all a brand name becomes the basis on which a whole story can be built about a product’s special qualities.
